Artist Statement:

Samuel Fradley is a British documentary photographer based in Torbay who runs his own company, The South West Collective of Photography Ltd, with ambition to promote photography in the South West of England. In his personal works, Sam searches for stories that are different, unique and often on the fringe of society, as he believes that these make for the most interesting stories. His work also explores other genres of photography, while occasionally focusing on current global events or responding to stories closer to home.

Samuel graduated The University of Plymouth in 2018 with distinction.

In June 2018, Samuel was awarded £2000 as part of the Santander Graduate Entrepreneurial bursary scheme and Founded The South West Collective of Photography Ltd, a company dedicated to promoting photography and art across the South West of England and further afield. Samuel also runs F16 Film Camera Store

In 2019, he was one of the winners of the British Journal of Photography's Portrait of Britain Prize, in 2020 he was the winner of the Exposure Photography Festival Yearbook Award - In 2021 he was one of the winners of Edition 365 by The British Journal of Photography. 

In 2022 he published his first book "Winds of Change" with Kozu Books.
