Artist Statement:

Samuel Fradley is a British documentary photographer based in Torbay who runs his own company, The South West Collective of Photography Ltd, with ambition to promote photography in the South West of England. In his personal works, Sam searches for stories that are different, unique and often on the fringe of society, as he believes that these make for the most interesting stories. His work also explores other genres of photography, while occasionally focusing on current global events or responding to stories closer to home.

Samuel is currently working on several ongoing projects Including "A Handshake with a Martian" and "The White Lady".

Samuel graduated The University of Plymouth in 2018 with disctinction.

In 2019, he was one of the winners of the British Journal of Photography's Portrait of Britain Prize.

In June 2018, Samuel was awarded £2000 as part of the Santander Graduate Entrepreneurial bursary scheme and Founded The South West Collective of Photography Ltd, a company dedicated to promoting photography and art across the South West of England and further afield.
